Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Catonsville, MD is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to provide direct care support in a residential setting. The role focuses on helping clients learn or regain skills for independent living and socialization, while ensuring medication safety and a supportive environment.

You will work within a team to implement individualized plans, provide transportation to appointments, and advocate for clients throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with 3 points or less and access to insured vehicle.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications and trainings as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a safe, therapeutic environment and support clients toward independent living.
• Support medication safety, dosing, and cleanliness as part of daily care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement Individual Service Plans.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and accompany clients as needed.
• Offer advocacy and ensure follow-up instructions are documented and acted on.
