Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Towson, MD is hiring an Access Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients, families, outside agencies, and referrers seeking admission or referral. You will collect and evaluate psychiatric, demographic and insurance data to determine the appropriate level of care.

The role is M-F 7:30am–4pm with rotating weekends and involves clinical triage, coordination of admissions, and referral to services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field required.
• At least 1 year of progressively more responsible clinical experience.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills essential.
• Knowledge of IDX and/or Sunrise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact to patients, families, outside agencies, and referrers for admissions/referrals.
• Collect and evaluate psychiatric, demographic and insurance data to determine level of care.
• Provide clinical triage and referral to internal/external services; coordinate inpatient admissions when assigned.
• Actively market Sheppard Pratt programs and services to internal and external groups.
• Complete writing and on-line documentation for admissions and referrals.

Description

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
