Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking an Access Coordinator to serve as the first contact for admissions and referrals. You will collect psychiatric, demographic, and insurance data to determine the appropriate level of care and perform clinical triage.

The role includes coordinating admissions and promoting Sheppard Pratt services to external groups. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Psychology or related field, at least 1 year of clinical experience, and strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• At least 1 year of progressively more responsible clinical experience.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of IDX and/or Sunrise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact to patients, families/representatives, outside agencies, and referrers to respond to inquiries for admission or referral.
• Collect and evaluate psychiatric, demographic and insurance data and determine the appropriate level of care needed.
• Provide clinical triage and referral to appropriate Sheppard Pratt services or external services; coordinate inpatient admissions as assigned.
• Actively market Sheppard Pratt programs and services to internal and external groups.
• Complete written and online documentation requirements for admissions and referrals.

This position is M-F 7:30am-4pm with rotating weekends. The Access Coordinator serves as the first point of contact to patients, their families/representatives, outside agencies, and referrers to respond to inquiries for admission or referral. • Complete written and on-line documentation requirements for admissions and referrals

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
