Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time Screening Credential Intake in Indianapolis, IN. You will safeguard clients by monitoring access points, screening people and materials, and responding to security concerns while delivering excellent customer service.

The position includes daytime and evening shifts at a fast-paced logistics site, with emphasis on visibility, incident deterrence, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or shipments in accordance with site-specific procedures and report prohibited items, unusual activity, or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry into restricted areas of the logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
