Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Credential Authentication in Indianapolis, IN. You will protect clients across multiple industries, handle access-screening tasks, and maintain a secure environment while delivering professional customer service.

Position type is part-time with a flexible schedule; pay rate starts at $17.22 per hour. You will screen individuals, patrol areas, and respond to incidents per site procedures, joining a team that values safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site access-control procedures.
• Inspect packages, freight, and personal property as directed by site procedures; report prohibited items and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, facility access points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
