University of Wisconsin-La Crosse seeks an Academic Technology Support Specialist to install, configure, and maintain classroom AV and learning technology, supporting faculty and students. You will manage projects, provide training, and collaborate with ITS to ensure reliable instructional tools.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s in a tech field (Bachelor’s preferred), 2+ years in IT/educational media, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree in a tech field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in IT/educational media.
• Experience with classroom AV and control systems (Q-SYS, Extron).
• Experience with learning tech solutions and Office 365 apps.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Windows and Mac systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead classroom technology upgrades and advise on system integration.
• Install, configure, and maintain classroom AV equipment and control systems.
• Support video conferencing and instructional platforms (Zoom, Teams, Kaltura, AppSpace).
• Provide faculty training and create user guides.
• Mentor junior ATS staff and student workers.
• Maintain asset records and plan for end-of-life replacements.
