Job summary

Hillsborough College is seeking an Academic Support Services Manager to lead the Academic Success Center. You will oversee daily operations, long-term planning, hiring, and budget oversight, supporting a student-centered tutoring environment.

The role supervises about 35 staff, collaborates with faculty, and ensures compliance with college policies while maintaining high-quality academic support services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and at least five years of related work experience.
• Experience in higher education, particularly community college/two-year institutions.
• Experience supervising staff and budgeting for a department.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and long-term planning of the Academic Success Center.
• Supervises ~35 personnel, including staff hiring, onboarding, mentoring and evaluations.
• Reviews bi-weekly timecards; ensures payroll compliance and accuracy.
• Manages budget planning for wages, supplies and operations; ensures fiscal responsibility.
• Maintains high levels of student support and coordinates with faculty for enhanced outcomes.
