Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) is seeking an Academic Recovery Coordinator to join the University Advising team. The ARC will work with the Academic Recovery Team to coordinate ARS 100/120, serve as an academic coach for probation and suspension students, and support SFO’s recovery initiatives.

Reporting to the Associate Director, the ARC will deliver 1:1 coaching, assist with program assessment, collaborate with campus partners, and contribute to curriculum development

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s with 2+ years related experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ARS 100/120, serve as academic coach for probation/suspension students.
• Provide 1:1 coaching, drop-in hours, and scheduled appointments.
• Collaborate with AR Team and campus partners for curricular development and assessment.
• Assist in program assessment, reporting, and curriculum development for AR/SFO initiatives.
• Manage caseloads, monitor progress, utilize Starfish for tracking.
• Support SFO operations including desk responsibilities and GA supervision.
