Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Recovery Programs Coordinator to lead evidence-based collegiate recovery initiatives and outreach within campus wellness programs.

The role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating recovery services and providing individual student and family support, in alignment with holistic wellness goals and campus health promotion strategies.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years’ experience; or substitute education/experience.
• Understanding of and/or experience within a recovery community (12-step, SMART, Refuge, Self-defined, etc.).
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting multiple pathways of recovery (including abstinence-based, harm reduction, medication-supported, use management, and other approaches).
• Strong coaching and advising skills with a motivating approach.
• Experience implementing group and/or population-based educational trainings and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision, development, implementation, and evaluation of collegiate recovery initiatives and related wellness programs.
• Deliver services and outreach within Dimensions of Wellness and holistic health promotion contexts.
• Offer individual support for students and families in or seeking recovery.
