Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years in higher education administration, administrative support, or fiscal management preferred.
• Experience advising or working with undergraduate and graduate students is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise undergraduate and graduate students on academic plans, course selection, majors, and strategies.
• Present advisement topics at workshops and orientations.
• Monitor student progress, run degree checks, and intervene when grades or attendance decline.
• Connect students to campus services, internships, study abroad, and UB Career Services.
• Process academic paperwork, transfer evaluations, graduation certification, and curriculum exceptions.
• Build and maintain course schedules, including room caps and cross-listed courses.
• Edit the department's course catalog listings and process new-course proposals.
• Support ABET learning outcomes assessment and run student, alumni, and employer surveys.
