University of Georgia is seeking an Academic Advisor II on the Athens campus to support incoming and current engineering undergraduates. The role involves advising on curriculum, registration, and degree planning while maintaining records and guiding students toward graduation.

Responsibilities include using Degree Works, SAGE, and Athena to tailor advising strategies, collaborate with engineering staff, and manage a monthly caseload for timely student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience.
• Completion of UGA’s Academic Advising Certificate Program preferred.
• Experience working with SAGE, Degreeworks, Athena, and other advising software utilized by the University of Georgia/USG institutions.

Responsabilités

• Advises students on curriculum planning and registration each semester.
• Maintains accurate records and utilizes existing records to inform advising practice.
• Effectively facilitates one-on-one advising sessions with students.
