Job summary

University of Utah's Office of Admissions is seeking an Academic Program Support Specialist (Graduate Admissions Evaluator) to join our team on campus. You will evaluate graduate applications, review transcripts, and verify credentials to support the admissions process.

You will work closely with departments and applicants, providing great customer service, accurate data entry, and timely responses to inquiries. This full-time role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with a daytime campus office.

Qualifications

  • Three years of general office experience or equivalency, with one year in an academic setting.
  • Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
  • College coursework in a related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate international and domestic graduate applications.
  • Evaluate academic transcripts, test scores, and other credentials.
  • Monitor students' academic files to ensure information is complete and updated.
  • Respond to emails related to international and domestic graduate admissions.
  • Provide customer service at our office windows and via phone calls.
  • Process credentials related to international and domestic graduate admissions.
  • May be cross-trained in other areas of the office.

Academic Program Support Specialist (Graduate AdmissionsEvaluator)
Job Summary

Graduate Admissions Evaluators play a crucial role at theUniversity. They are trained to evaluate graduate applications andverify that applicants meet The Graduate School minimumrequirements. As a Graduate Admissions Evaluator, the employee willevaluate domestic and foreign academic transcripts, confirmcredentials, and enter information into our database systems.Attention to detail is key, as is a strong sense of customerservice. We work closely with graduate departments, applicants, andcampus partners to facilitate the application process.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in evaluating international and domestic graduateapplications.
  • Evaluate academic transcripts, test scores, and other domesticand international credentials.
  • Monitor students' academic files to ensure information iscomplete and updated by filling in information and changing recordswhen applicable.
  • Respond to emails related to international and domesticgraduate admissions.
  • Provide customer service at our office windows and via phonecalls as it relates to international and domestic graduateadmissions.
  • Process credentials related to international and domesticgraduate admissions.
  • Other duties as assigned; May be cross-trained in other areasof the office.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of general office experience or equivalency (one yearof education can be substituted for two years of related workexperience), one of which in an academic setting; and demonstratedhuman relation and effective communication skills required.
