Job Summary
Direct/Manage/Supervise the design and implementation of projects that carry out the mission of the Division of the Physician Assistant Education and Sciences, at the University of Utah. Develop strategies and goals to create projects offering the greatest impact to the Utah Physician Assistant Program. Determine short- and long-term project plans to meet organization goals. Assist the Faculty Director of Clinical Education to oversee the coordination and daily work activities of the program staff. Represent the interest of the PA program both inside and outside of the organization. Manage 2-3 individual contributor program staff members as a first-level manager. Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Experience in higher education and demonstrated leadership skills are preferred. This position reports to the Director of Education, Student Advising and Activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus three years of experience in budget, grant and program management or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Develops and implements program ideas into successful academic and research programs; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.
