Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery invites applications for a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to help grow our clinical, educational, and research programs. The role emphasizes reconstructive microsurgery, breast reconstruction, craniofacial, and hand surgery, with opportunities across affiliated sites.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent) is required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Fellowship in microvascular surgery is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reconstructive microsurgery and related procedures.
• Teach residents and medical students within the integrated residency program.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Contribute to clinical care, teaching, and research at Albany Medical Center and affiliates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Capital Region.
