Job summary

UCSF Academic Personnel Office seeks an Academic Analyst to provide academic personnel assistance within the Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost organization at UCSF. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Minimum of 3 years of directly related experience.
• 3+ years of experience in UC, other university Academic Personnel services or related HR activities.
• Ability to apply/interpret system wide and campus policies and procedures which govern academic personnel & HR.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audience both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated skill in prioritizing competing work assignments and integrating information to determine appropriate actions.

The individual will be the primary academic contact for a set of client departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of directly related experience.


• 3+ years of experience in UC, other university Academic Personnel services or related experience with high level HR activities and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Ability to apply/interpret system wide and campus policies and procedures which govern academic personnel & HR.


• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audience both verbally and in writing.


• Demonstrated skill in prioritizing competing work assignments and integrating information to determine appropriate courses of action and their implications.

Preferred Qualifications: Has a strong understanding of compensation policies, CBA, and procedures governing academic employees and health sciences compensation plans for client schools/departments, funding requirements and implications for academic and postdoc employees.
