Job summary

Macmillan Learning is seeking a Field Sales Representative to promote products across Virginia campuses. The role involves on-site campus visits, presentations, and demonstrations to faculty and departments, with travel about 35 hours per week.

Strong relationship-building and CRM usage are essential to drive book and digital product sales. The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, direct sales experience, and a passion for education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Direct sales experience required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and self‑starter mentality.
• Interest in academia and comfort with computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily campus sales call schedules and execute them.
• Conduct campus meetings, presentations, and demonstrations.
• Manage CRM: customer info, contacts, opportunities, pipelines.
• Travel to assigned accounts ~35 hours/week for field interviews.
• Promote Macmillan Learning products to faculty and departments.
• Prepare and submit sampling, expense reports, and reports on time.
• Attend conferences and sales meetings; leverage budgets for travel.
