Responsibilities

  • Deliver academic advising services to new and continuing CDM students.
  • Provide support to new and existing programs and services within the CDM Academic Success Center.
  • Serve as a generalist with knowledge of all CDM programs and manage an assigned student caseload.
  • Support faculty advising and provide academic advising and administrative services to continuing CDM students.
  • Review academic curricula, plan course sequences, assess academic progress, and review DePaul and transfer institution transcripts.
  • Support retention efforts for special student populations, including online learning students.
  • Help students use DePaul and CDM online academic management tools.
  • Refer students to University resources.
  • Interpret University policies and assist with petition processes for policy exceptions.
  • Assist with new student orientation, academic probation, and degree conferral processes.
  • Participate in academic advising week, academic success and career workshops, commencement, family weekend, open houses, and student recognition events.
  • Participate in professional development, technology training, and College and University committees.
  • Assist the Director with special assignments and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description
