Job summary

Pima Community College is seeking part-time temporary staff for the ABECC Testing Specialist 1 role in Tucson, AZ. The position supports adult basic education students, administers assessments, and guides students through college systems and enrollment processes.

Flexibility is required for evenings and weekends. Two vacancies may exist, with an applicant pool active for future assignments. Prior experience in student services is helpful, and Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Up to one year of related student or customer service experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Administers Adult Basic Education standardized assessments in accordance with guidelines and compliance protocols.
• Provides student-focused support in navigating College systems and enrollment processes.
• Facilitates assessment preparation, scheduling, and testing processes.
• Maintains confidential student records across multiple databases with data integrity.
• Implements and follows departmental procedures and forms.
• Collaborates with Testing & Placement Department to support aligned testing and placement processes.
• Provides office support to administration and management, including data-related reports of a confidential nature.
• Offers courteous, knowledgeable assistance to students and stakeholders regarding processes and procedures.
• Builds cooperative relationships with students, staff, and stakeholders.
