Job summary

Old Dominion Abatement and Demolition (ODAD) in Maryland seeks a General Laborer to support abatement, remediation, ICRA, and selective demolition projects. You will assist with setup, material handling, containment installation, and demolition activities while following Foreman directions and safety protocols.

The role requires physical labor, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to travel to job sites. Ongoing training on-site and potential overtime may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction safety practices.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Willingness to travel to assigned job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor and construction-related tasks as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and cleanup of assigned work areas.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with asbestos and lead abatement, mold remediation, ICRA containment, and other environmental work when trained and authorized.
• Follow project plans, work instructions, company procedures, and directions provided by field supervision.
• Follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, and project-specific procedures.

Education

High school diploma, GED, or trade school education
