Job summary

Old Dominion Abatement and Demolition (ODAD) seeks a Superintendent to coordinate field operations across asbestos abatement, ICRA, remediation, and demolition projects. You will lead crews, manage schedules, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and project requirements.

The role requires minimum five years of relevant experience, active asbestos certifications, OSHA 30, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant construction, asbestos abatement, demolition, or environmental remediation experience.
• Active asbestos abatement certification(s) applicable to the work and jurisdiction.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Strong knowledge of asbestos abatement, demolition, remediation, and safety requirements.
• Experience supervising field crews and managing budgets and schedules.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee field operations for asbestos abatement, lead abatement, mold remediation, ICRA, selective demolition, and other projects.
• Supervise and direct overall project activities, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating crews.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with plans and regulations.
• Plan manpower, materials, equipment, PPE, and resources for assigned projects.
• Maintain training, licenses, and certifications for regulated work.
• Lead pre-job planning and daily crew huddles to address safety, quality, productivity, and scheduling concerns.
