Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a One-to-One Paraprofessional to provide direct support to individual students under the supervision of a teacher. Duties include assisting with instruction, personal care, and behavior support as outlined by the student’s plan.

Responsibilities include collaborating with classroom staff, maintaining communication with families, and covering tasks as needed by the Head of School or School-based Special Education Administrator.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED.
• Alternative qualifications: 48 college credits or an associate's degree or passing ParaPro/WorkKeys.
• Experience with students with disabilities and ability to work with families/administrators/teachers.

Responsibilities

• Work with small groups in instruction, assist with toileting, transfers, and personal care.
• Collaborate with classroom teacher to implement daily lesson plans.
• Foster open communication with parents and staff; perform related duties as assigned by administration.
