Job summary

Sevita, Bright Light division, is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician to support individuals with developmental behavior challenges in a center-based ABA program. You will implement treatment plans, collect data, and collaborate with families and the clinical team to promote meaningful progress.

The role requires a high school diploma, RBT credential (or plan to obtain within 30 days), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• RBT Credential or plan to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Two years of college coursework in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
• Two years’ experience with individuals with developmental behavior challenges preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification as required by state.
• Valid driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance if transporting.
• Professional demeanor with sound judgment and discretion.
• Exceptional communication and rapport-building abilities.
• A good listener with empathy and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans consistently and maintain therapeutic relationships.
• Collaborate with families and treatment team; educate guardians when requested.
• Use appropriate interaction style, maintaining dignity and respect.
• Prompt safe replacement behaviors to develop communication and social skills.
• Fade prompts to promote independent responding.
• Increase safe replacement behaviors through reinforcers.
• Record progress using behavior analytic methods and report to supervisor.
• Collect behavioral data accurately as defined in the program.
• Complete clinical and residential documentation timely and accurately.
• Review daily updates and adjust as needed with staff.
• Coordinate leisure activities and ensure participant engagement.
• Attend clinical meetings as assigned; participate in updates.
• Provide up-to-date residential status and address issues with the team.
