Job summary

Charlestown High in Boston Public Schools is seeking a Special Education ABA teacher with SEI Endorsement for a long-term substitute role. Expected start 11/25/2026 and end 06/14/2027. Substitutes begin at per diem pay, with goals aligned to IEPs and state standards.

The candidate will work to provide targeted instruction, develop accessible curricula, and collaborate with staff to support diverse learners. Massachusetts licensure and SEI/ESL endorsements are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities for the appropriate grade level.
• ESL License or SEI Endorsement required.
• Authorized to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Implement district goals aligned with state frameworks.
• Provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe delays.
• Create and implement IEP-based goals and report progress regularly.
• Provide accommodations and support for MCAS Alternative Assessment readiness.
• Collaborate with staff to support modifications for student needs.
• Assist students transitioning to adult living services where appropriate.
