Job summary

Thrive Behavior Centers is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) to provide one-on-one ABA therapy under a BCBA supervisor. The BT will work with children aged 2–10, implementing prescribed ABA programs and maintaining safety and data accuracy during sessions.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, ongoing certification in RBT within 60 days, and adherence to BACB ethics and confidentiality. Competitive benefits and professional growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or have earned a GED. Bachelors degrees are preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Required to obtain RBT certification within the first 60 days of employment.
• Required to maintain RBT certification throughout employment (Failure to maintain could result in termination).
• Required to alert your supervisor in writing six weeks prior to certification expiration.
• Required to uphold the ethical and supervision standards of the BACB.
• Required to have and maintain a current CPR/AED or BLS certification which must be accredited by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients one-on-one under the supervision of a BCBA, implementing ABA programs as prescribed.
• Continuously monitor the client and intervene to ensure safety.
• Administer behavioral interventions and implement programs and protocols during sessions.
• Build rapport with clients and pair reinforcement.
• Engage with clients during sessions using ABA techniques and modeling verbal behavior.
• Assist with daily activities and care as needed.
• Document session notes accurately in the management system.
• Communicate with families and colleagues as required.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality.
