Job summary

Laurel Heights Hospital in Atlanta, GA is seeking a motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders. You will implement ABA-based programs, collect data, and work with a multidisciplinary team to help youths acquire skills and reduce challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities include instructing patients, documenting progress, maintaining materials, and guiding facility staff in behavior strategies, in a 40-hour work week within a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or similar field or equivalent experience.
• Two years’ experience as MHT or RBT in a psychiatric setting with children/adolescents; knowledge in behavior management.
• RBT preferred or BACB-approved RBT course with current BACB registration.
• Certified in CPR and HWC or able to comply with training on hire.
• Strong oral, written, and listening communication; computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Team participation to safely restrain or seclude patients as necessary.
• Working knowledge of behavior management and autism spectrum disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA-based interventions as directed by the BCBA.
• Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans with patients.
• Collect and record data; create/maintain materials; write progress notes; manage incentive systems.
• Collaborate with treatment teams to support youth and families in a therapeutic environment.
