Job summary

Caravel Autism Health is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician in Rolling Meadows, IL. This role offers paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and involves 1:1 client sessions using ABA to build communication and independence in children with autism.

Full-time positions include comprehensive benefits, mileage reimbursement, PTO, holiday pay, disability coverage, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Availability to work full-time between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday (some Saturdays for make-up sessions)
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience with children with special needs preferred
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must obtain RBT within 75 days of employment
• Strong work ethic and positive, creative problem-solving approach

Responsibilities

• Play and encourage young learners while implementing targets from each client’s individualized treatment plan
• Promote development of essential skills and document progress
• Assist 1:1 client sessions; avoid group billing
• Contribute to life-changing milestones such as communication and independence

Education

High school diploma or GED

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred
