Job summary

Merakey seeks a Behavior Technician in Baton Rouge, LA, to deliver 1:1 ABA-based services in schools and community settings. You will collect data, communicate with parents and staff, and complete required documentation, while keeping the child’s engagement high and treatment individualized.

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required; scheduling is Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm. Preferred: RBT certification and related coursework in mental health or child development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Availability to work 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 direct ABA-based services in schools and community settings.
• Complete timely ongoing data collection and documentation, including parent/staff communications.
• Engage with children in a fun, supportive manner and implement individualized treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification

Completed college coursework in mental health or child development

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Required:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or general educational development (GED) is required.
• Availability to work during operation hours of 7:30am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday.

Preferred:

• 3-6 months experience in the division of behavioral health services.
• Current Registered Behavior Technician certification
• Completed college coursework in mental health, child development, or a related field.
