Job summary

Merakey in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our team. The role provides 1:1 direct service in schools and community settings using evidence-based ABA treatments.

You will complete timely data collection and parent/staff communication, documenting progress while keeping a fun, child-centered approach. The position offers weekday hours and competitive pay with opportunities for growth within Merakey.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–6 months experience in behavioral health services preferred.
• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred.
• Completed college coursework in mental health, child development, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 direct service in schools and community settings using evidence-based ABA treatments.
• Complete timely ongoing data collection and documentation.
• Maintain a positive, engaging approach and adapt treatment to individual needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Availability to work during operation hours of 12:00PM - 4:15PM Monday - Friday.

• Completed college coursework in mental health, child development, or a related field.
