Job summary

ABS Kids is seeking part-time Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in the Westlake Village area. Entry-level candidates to seasoned RBTs can apply; shifts run 8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Training is provided on the job, with growth opportunities and a path to RBT certification. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on state, plus a $500–$1000 bonus based on experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs.
• Heart for helping kids and a calm, steady presence.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations.

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child.
• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social/emotional skills.
• Get up/down off floor often, move quickly.
