Job summary

ABS Kids is seeking part-time Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. Roles range from entry-level to experienced RBTs, with scheduling options Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm, 9:00am–6:00pm, 12:00pm–7:00pm, or 3:00pm–7:00pm.

Compensation ranges from $18.50 to $23.00 per hour, with potential increases for RBT certification. We offer paid RBT training, mileage reimbursement, 401(k) with match, and paid time off earned for hours worked.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children (any setting) or adults with special needs - make sure this is on your resume or application!
• A heart for helping kids
• A calm, steady presence
• Eagerness and energy to play
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations
• Tech savviness - learn our data collection software and use basic office software

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child!
• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social and emotional skills
• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly
