Job summary

ABS Kids is seeking part-time Behavior Technicians to support children with autism spectrum disorder. You will use ABA therapy, play-based strategies, and data collection to assist clients in developing real-life skills.

No experience? No problem—training is provided on the job, and there are opportunities to advance with the LAUNCH career path. Shift options include weekday afternoons with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children (any setting) or adults with special needs.
• A heart for helping kids.
• A calm, steady presence.
• Eagerness and energy to play.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations.
• Tech savviness- learn our data collection software and use basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child.
• Use play, patience, and ABA therapy to teach real-life skills.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social and emotional skills.
• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly.
