Job summary

Horizon Air is offering a Maintenance Technician Development Program to help you gain the skills for an A&P license. Enrollment in a FAR 147-certified program is required, with mentorship and a clear path to becoming a Horizon Air Technician.

Participants sign an agreement to work for Horizon Air for 2.5 years after completing FAR 147 and obtaining their A&P license, with ongoing support from a dedicated mentor team.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a certified FAR 147 FAA Airframe and Powerplant Program.
• Ability to obtain and maintain A&P License within 90 days of graduation.
• Ability and willingness to obtain a passport for unrestricted travel to/from the U.S.
• Ability and willingness to enter Canada for maintenance work without TRP.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport AOA badge.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18; authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Currently enrolled and in good standing with an approved A&P school.
• Quarterly check-ins with a mentor/leader.
• Maintain effective communication with the company on curriculum progress.
• Commit to work for Horizon Air for 2.5 years post program completion.
