Horizon Air’s Maintenance and Engineering team offers a Maintenance Technician Development Program in the Seattle area for individuals pursuing A&P licenses, requiring enrollment in a FAR 147 certified program and mentoring toward certification and a future Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines career.
Participants sign an agreement to work 30 months after admission and upon license attainment become Horizon Air Technicians, joining a path to a stable aviation maintenance role with the airline group.
The Maintenance Technician Development Program is geared towards individuals who want to gain the skills needed to receive their Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licenses. The program requires enrollment in a FAR 147 certified program and offers mentorship and a defined path towards certification and starting a career with Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines.
If accepted into the program, the individual signs an agreement to work for Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines for a minimum of 30 months. Upon completing the FAR 147 requirements and obtaining their A&P license participants will become a Horizon Air Technician.
