Job summary

Horizon Air is offering a Maintenance Technician Development Program to help candidates gain skills for the Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. The program requires enrollment in a FAR 147 certified program and provides mentorship and a defined certification path toward a Horizon Air Technician role.

Participants must sign an agreement to work for Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines for at least 2.5 years after completing FAR 147 requirements and obtaining their A&P license.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a team and independently as needed.
• English language proficiency required for operations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support enrollment in the FAR 147 program and track progress.
• Maintain regular mentor/leader check-ins and curriculum updates.
• Prepare to obtain A&P license within 90 days after graduation.
• Commit to Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines employment for 2.5 years post completion.
