Job summary

VSE is seeking an Aviation Technician I in Bridgeport, WV, for a full-time 1st shift role. You will inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components to ensure safe flight operations in strict regulatory environments.

The role requires an A&P certification or equivalent, 4+ years of relevant experience, and strong mechanical aptitude. Proficiency with MS Office is expected; a background in fuel/pneumatic systems is preferred. Background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Technical Degree or A&P Certification or equivalent
• 4+ years of relevant/technical work experience
• Ability to teardown, inspect, assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft fuel/pneumatic components
• Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment under time pressure
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic computer literacy

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft fuel/pneumatic equipment.
• Perform and document work per manuals and regulations.
• Maintain all shop calibrated tools in proper condition.
• Ensure work complies with inspection procedures and data.
• Perform tasks as assigned by the shop lead.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality policies.
