Job summary

Minnesota Counties Computer Coop is seeking a dedicated 911 Telecommunicator to coordinate incoming 911 calls and dispatch public safety personnel. The role includes handling emergency and non-emergency calls, monitoring ARMER radios, and updating CAD/RMS records with careful attention to security and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will manage high-stress situations, communicate clearly, and provide CPR guidance when required, while adhering to procedures and test protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: associates/technical degree in criminal justice or related field.
• Experience with public safety communications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and non-emergency 911 calls and texts.
• Dispatch appropriate public safety personnel and coordinate responses.
• Operate ARMER radio console and monitor multiple channels.
• Access CJIS/National crime info via computer systems and enter data.
• Provide CPR instruction over the phone when needed.
• Train and mentor new staff, and participate in ongoing training.
