County Emergency Communications in Lena, LA is seeking 911 Emergency Dispatchers to connect callers with responders and coordinate police, fire, and EMS resources. You will verify locations, gather details, and manage multiple systems in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities include handling emergency and nonemergency calls, entering data into dispatch software, and ensuring accurate records while maintaining confidentiality. Some shifts may include overtime.

Responsabilidades

• Answer emergency and nonemergency calls within the assigned service area
• Confirm addresses, callback numbers, incident details, and safety concerns
• Assess call priority using approved questions and agency procedures
• Enter incident information into computer-aided dispatch systems
• Dispatch responders when assigned to radio operations
• Monitor radio traffic and update responders as situations change
• Provide caller instructions within training and certification limits
• Maintain confidential information and accurate records
