Academies of Math and Science is seeking an 8th Grade Science Teacher to deliver standards-aligned science instruction at our Glendale campus. The role emphasizes data-driven planning, differentiated instruction, and hands-on inquiry to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
• Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area.
• Pass required background checks and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned science instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to plan and intervene.
• Foster inquiry-based learning and hands-on exploration.
• Establish a structured, positive classroom environment and PBIS.
• Support students' academic, behavioral, and social–emotional development.
• Participate in weekly professional development and PLCs.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders.
• Communicate with families regarding student progress; lead conferences.
