Job summary

Academies of Math and Science in Arizona is seeking a passionate 8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction at one of our Westside campuses.

The role emphasizes data‑driven planning, differentiation, and building foundational literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills. You will collaborate with grade-level teams and engage families to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field and AZ teaching certification.
• Minimum of three years of K–12 teaching experience.
• SEI Endorsement or 45 hours SEI training preferred but not required.
• Strong classroom management and data-driven instructional mindset.
• Commitment to Title I and multilingual communities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned to AMS curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to support students at all levels.
• Use formative and summative data to drive planning and interventions.
• Establish a structured, positive classroom culture with high expectations.
• Communicate regularly with families and lead conferences.
