Job summary

Academy of Mathematics and Science, Inc. is hiring an 8th Grade ELA Teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction across AMS curricula.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, targeted interventions, and strong literacy development for diverse learners. The teacher will establish a structured, high-expectation classroom with PBIS, support students’ social-emotional growth, and participate in ongoing professional development and family engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; AZ teaching certification or 3+ years K–12 teaching experience.
• SEI Endorsement or 45 hours SEI training preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction using AMS curriculum frameworks.
• Differentiate instruction to support varied grade-level performance; use data to plan interventions.
• Establish a structured, positive classroom environment with high expectations; implement PBIS.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders; engage families through conferences.
