Academies of Math and Science in Glendale, AZ is seeking a passionate 8th grade science teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction and foster scientific inquiry. You will leverage data to guide planning, differentiate for diverse learners, and support student achievement in a high-expectations classroom.

Collaborate with grade-level teams, participate in weekly PD, implement PBIS, and engage families through conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field.
• Arizona teaching certification in the relevant subject area.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and data-driven instruction.
• Background checks and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned science instruction for 8th grade.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Use formative and summative assessments to guide planning and interventions.
• Foster inquiry-based learning and hands-on exploration.
• Establish a structured, positive classroom environment with high expectations.
