Job summary

Iteris is seeking a skilled 511 Operations Supervisor to lead shift operations and serve as the main contact for incident management. You will mentor staff, provide critical decision support, and ensure timely dissemination of traveler information across 511 channels.

Ideal candidates will possess ITS knowledge, ATMS proficiency, calm leadership under pressure, and experience supervising in high-stress environments.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of ITS and traffic management standards.
• Skilled in ATMS applications.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure in various work conditions.
• Geographic familiarity with regional roadway network.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking.
• Effective interpersonal leadership and communication.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
• Experience supervising others in high-stress environments.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and be Essential Personnel.
• Willingness to augment Express Lanes Operations Center.

Responsibilities

• Mentor subordinate staff and provide performance feedback.
• Provide effective operational decisions during shift operations.
• Lead shift supervision and ensure SOP adherence and task execution.
• Monitor traveler information sources and feeds.
• Ensure timely, accurate dissemination of information.
• Verify information before publishing to 511 channels.
• Coordinate with partners on messaging plans for events.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies as required.
• Communicate with Express Lanes staff to report impacting events.
• Perform periodic system checks of 511 sites and CMS times.
