Job summary

Iteris, Inc. is seeking a 511 Operations Supervisor in Oakland to lead shift operations and act as the main point of contact for incident response.

You will mentor staff, make critical operational decisions, and ensure timely dissemination of traveler information across 511 channels. The role requires supervising others in high-stress environments, coordinating with partners, and maintaining readiness and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of ITS and traffic management standards.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
• Geographic familiarity with regional roadway network.
• Experience supervising others in high-stress work environments.
• Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts and as essential personnel.

Responsibilities

• Mentor subordinate staff and provide performance feedback.
• Provide operational decisions and guidance during shift operations.
• Supervise staff during shifts, ensuring SOP adherence and task execution.
• Monitor Traveler Information Sources and disseminate information.
• Verify accuracy of traveler information before publishing to 511 channels.
• Coordinate messaging plans for planned events with MTC staff.
• Engage with partners to obtain updated traffic incident information.
