Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a highly skilled Machinist in Costa Mesa, CA to drive precision in 5-axis CNC machining. You will optimize processes, load materials, and ensure alignment with production schedules while maintaining strict quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in CNC manufacturing, strong knowledge of Heidenhain/Mazatrol controls, GD&T, and tool management, with a focus on continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in CNC manufacturing with operation, programming and tool maintenance responsibilities.
• Experience with 5-axis CNC controls (Heidenhain/Mazatrol preferred).
• Ability to read complex blueprints and apply GD&T.
• Knowledge of cutting tools (reamers, end mills, taps, drills, etc.).
• Familiarity with SOPs, SOP revisions, and proper documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize machining processes and implement improvements.
• Diagnose machine-tool geometry issues using part inspection data and assist maintenance.
• Load castings and raw materials for 5-axis CNC machining in automated environments.
• Ensure machines run per schedule; meet Quality and OEE targets.
• Coordinate with QC to validate part quality and resolve issues.
