Job summary

Senior Helpers of Richmond is seeking professional, caring, and reliable caregivers to support senior clients with daily activities, errands, rides to appointments, and companionship. Flexible hours and a $250 signing bonus (plus $250 after 100 hours) are offered, with competitive pay of $21/hour.

Responsibilities include companionship, personal care, light housekeeping, meal planning, medication reminders, and mobility support. Minimum shifts are 4 hours. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Has experience with dementia
• Certified PCA/CNA/Nurse Aide to qualify for the position
• Reliable transportation to get to work
• Valid US driver’s license with no serious violations
• Flexible and adaptable to new situations
• Pass a criminal background check prior to employment
• Pass a drug screening test
• Prior dementia/senior care experience is a plus
• Able to be reached by phone, text, or email for shifts and updates

Caregiver Needed – PCA, CNA, Nurse Aide

Senior Helpers is currently recruiting professional, caring, and reliable caregivers to work with our senior clients that need a helping hand with daily ADLs, errands, rides to doctor’s appointments, and companionship from energetic people to fill their time during the day while the family is at work or school.

Primary Responsibilities

• Companionship and conversation
• Personal Care (assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, feeding)
• Light Housekeeping/Household Management (incl. laundry and linen changing)
• Apparel selection (i.e. laying out clothes)
• Meal planning and preparation
• Medication reminders
• Mobility support (standby assist, transfer, hoyer lift)
• Transportation using own or client’s vehicle
• Helping family members learn safe care techniques
• No Pets, Non-Smoking Residence

Qualifications

• Create and maintain open communication with seniors, their families, and our staff
• Assist with personal care
• Companionship
• Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned
• Has experience with Dementia
• Has experience with Gait belt Transfers** Caregiver must be a Certified PCA, CNA, or Nurse Aide to get qualified for this position
• Ability to get to work using reliable transportation
• Valid US issued driver’s license with no serious driving violations
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
• Pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers
• Pass a drug screening test
• Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus, but not required
• Must be able to be reached via phone, text, or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies

Competitive pay - For this one, we would pay $21/hour

Minimum shifts are 4 hours
