Job summary

Senior Helpers of Richmond is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors in their homes in the Richmond area. The role focuses on personal care, companionship, and daily living activities with a strong emphasis on respect and dignity for clients.

Eligible candidates should hold PCA/CNA/Nurse Aide certification, have reliable transportation, and be able to work flexible shifts. Training and opportunities for advancement are offered, with a $250 signing bonus as part of the outreach.

Qualifications

• Certified PCA/CNA/Nurse Aide required.
• Experience with dementia is a plus, not required.
• Reliable transportation and valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain open communication with seniors, their families, and staff.
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Provide companionship and engagement.
• Attend to ADLs as assigned; support mobility and transfers.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain open communication with seniors, their families, and our staff
• Assist with personal care
• Companionship
• Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned
• Has experience with Dementia
• Has experience with Gait belt Transfers
• ** Caregiver must be a Certified PCA, CNA, or Nurse Aide to get qualified for this position
• Ability to get to work using reliable transportation
• Valid US issued driver’s license with no serious driving violations
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
• Pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers
• Pass a drug screening test
• Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus, but not required
• Must be able to be reached via phone, text, or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies
