Job summary

CPS, Inc. is seeking a senior DC Plan Administrator/Consultant to own a book of retirement plans, delivering accurate administration and client service in a fully remote or onsite setup.

You will manage full-cycle plan administration, perform testing, file Form 5500, advise on regulatory changes, and build lasting client relationships with sponsors, advisors, and CPAs.

This senior role emphasizes independence, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of A-to-Z DC plan administration experience.
  • Strong command of ADP/ACP, 401(a)(4), 410(b), top-heavy testing, and contribution methods.
  • Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
  • Form 5500 preparation and filing experience.
  • Excellent communication with sponsors, advisors, and CPAs.
  • Strong organizational skills managing multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for an assigned book of qualified retirement plan clients, including sponsors, advisors, CPAs, and recordkeeping partners.
  • Handle full-cycle annual plan administration — census review, eligibility, valuation, compliance testing, and year-end deliverables.
  • Perform ADP/ACP, 401(a)(4), 410(b), top-heavy, 402(g), and 415 testing.
  • Calculate employer contributions across pro-rata, permitted disparity, and new comparability/cross-testing formulas.
  • Prepare and file Form 5500 and related schedules, coordinating with auditors on large plan filings.
  • Review loan and distribution requests, including hardship withdrawals, RMDs, and QDROs.
  • Interpret plan documents and review amendments/restatements; identify operational failures and recommend corrections via EPCRS (SCP/VCP).
  • Support plan terminations and issue required participant notices (Safe Harbor, SAR, Fee Disclosure, Blackout).
  • Monitor legislative/regulatory changes to proactively advise clients.

An established, independent third-party administrator specializing in the administration and compliance of qualified retirement plans is seeking an experienced DC Plan Administrator/Consultant to join its team. Known for technical depth, long-term client relationships, and a collaborative culture, this firm goes beyond software output to truly understand the plans it administers — and values professionals who take pride in accuracy, client service, and continuous growth.

This is a senior-level individual contributor role for a technically strong, detail-oriented professional ready to own a book of business and build lasting client relationships.

What You'll Do
