Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (relevant experience may substitute).
  • 3+ years of defined contribution plan administration experience.
  • Proficiency with FT William Modular Admin/Compliance Software.
  • Demonstrated skill in ADP/ACP, 410(b), 414(s), Top Heavy testing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with client relations experience.
  • ASPPA, NIPA, or equivalent credential.
  • Strong Excel and Word skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nondiscrimination testing (ADP/ACP, 410(b), 414(s), and more) for a caseload of 80–100 qualified plans.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value.
  • Manage all aspects of DC plan administration—from data collection and testing through Form 5500/5500-SF and SAR preparation.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of plan documents and their provisions.
  • Stay current on legislative and regulatory developments affecting DC plans.
  • Collaborate closely with supervisors and colleagues, supporting team workflow.
  • Use Teamwork and FT William Modular Admin/Compliance software to manage day-to-day work, along with other tools as needed.

A regional third-party administration firm providing retirement plan administration, compliance, and consulting services — spanning 401(k), 403(b), and Cash Balance plans — is growing its team and looking for a Senior Retirement Plan Consultant to join the ranks. This role blends technical compliance work with meaningful client interaction, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys both the numbers and the relationships behind them.

About the Role

This hybrid position (roughly 95% remote, with occasional on-site visits) focuses on the administration and compliance side of Defined Contribution plans while serving as a trusted resource for clients navigating their retirement plan needs.
