North Carolina State University’s Northampton County Extension seeks an Extension Program Assistant/Associate to lead 4-H curriculum and school enrichment for K-12. The role develops summer programs, expands clubs and recruits volunteers, and collaborates with schools to advance youth education in Northampton County.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred advanced training and a commitment to serving under-represented groups.

Qualifications

Minimum requirement is a high-school diploma or equivalent.
Advanced training in related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

Establishing new 4-H clubs and recruiting 4-H volunteers, particularly in under-represented groups within Northampton County.
Assessing county needs with the 4-H Agent and other Northampton Extension Staff.
Preparing program plans with objectives and evaluations.
Developing summer youth educational programs.
Partnering with schools to deliver 4-H curriculum and enrichment programs.
Networking and soliciting community resources to expand 4-H programming.
Reporting activities and program effectiveness to the 4-H and FCS Agents.
Maintaining professional competence and promoting program growth.
