Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learnings in real-world practice and prepare for a Pharmacist role. Under a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap that covers KLEs, SOPs, and hands-on pharmacy operations in a busy retail setting.

You will assist with prescription fulfillment, patient care, immunizations where allowed, and ongoing mentoring to grow clinical and technical knowledge while supporting a safe and inclusive

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time and maintain accuracy.
• Excellent communication with patients and colleagues; teamwork-focused.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Learn to operate under SOPs and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture.
• Counsel patients when appropriate and support immunization and point-of-care services.
• Support telephonic prescriptions, medication changes, and patient history collection.
• Complete basic inventory activities and assist in cycle counts and returns-to-stocks.
